Infinite River

Synopsis:

To Carl Finter, photographer, shooting a few hundred shots during a summertime rafting trip down the Rogue River in south-western Oregon sounded like an enjoyable and easy way to fulfill his contract with the travel magazine.  The long-anticipated earthquake on the Oregon coast was only the beginning of a series of events that would threaten his life, bring true love into it and propel him into deepening mystery and intrigue that would extend millions of years into the past!

“Infinite River is a fun and action-packed adventure. It’s one of those books that is difficult to put down. The author takes us on a rafting trip down the Rogue River in SW Oregon which is a great adventure in and of itself. The rafting trip ends as a result of a great, natural disaster and then the REAL adventure begins. I loved the twists and turns right through the last paragraph! I look forward to C.E. Fender’s next book. I’ll be the first one in line to buy it!” ~ Jim Steinberger

The Legend of Fender’s Garage

Synopsis:

This memoir, featuring the author’s father, Loren D. Fender, presents a brief look at the fascinating life and times of the author’s father and mother through some very challenging times in the history of America. It is also a look at the people and lifestyle of the Colorado Rockies before technology.

“How pleased I was to read the Legend of Fender’s Garage. What a wonderful way to honor one’s parents by writing a memoir to share with others. Having grown up spending time with Ed and his family, this brought back the memories of the wonderful times spent participating in Fender’s Garage and the Fire Department. The true essence of Loren is delivered in Ed’s writing. Having known the man, I can say he has been brought back to life on a personal basis and makes me long for those times to return. This may be your best work, yet. I look forward to your next writing project.” Gary Beaver

“Ed, I want to thank you again so very much for writing “The Legend of Fender’s Garage”. As I said on the phone, I have never had such a strong reaction when reading anything as I did from this. It instantly took me back to our high school days when I visited your home and spent time with your folks there (as well as the memorable school bus rides). This booklet is something I will treasure for the rest of my life. I don’t see how you could possibly outdo this one from my perspective.” ~ Rick Renz

Italy Calls

Synopsis:

Lorenzo Costa is content with his life in Oregon.  That life is turned upside down when he gets a call from Italy. The grandfather he has never met wants him to come to Italy to take over the family construction business worth multi-billions of Euros.  While enroute, he unknowingly smuggles data for arms traffickers.  The journey to find his Italian roots and decide whether or not to take over the business leads to romance and an adventure-laced trip through Italy.
“Sorry I hadn’t written a review about Italy Calls yet.  The ending?  I nearly fell off my chair when I read it – a real surprise!  That is when I realized Lorenzo would fit in very well with the old way of doing business. He is sharper than I thought. Before I go to Italy the next time, I will re-read the descriptions of the churches, buildings, etc.  In addition to being a very entertaining book, it is a very good travelogue. I think you have yourself a winner with this book.” ~ Linda Harrell

In The Spooky Forest

Synopsis:

A children’s book about an adventure that could happen to the author’s three grandchildren. A mysterious white ‘something’ is moving about in the real spooky forest by the 804 Trail north of the Overleaf Lodge in Yachats, Oregon.  The book features local sites and pathways in the Yachats community and solves the white ‘something’ mystery!

“For Christmas, I gave this book to my 8-year old grandson, Liam, because he loved to read and the story takes place in our community. We take turns opening gifts. When Liam opened In the Spooky Forest, the whole process took a halt. He was completely captivated by the story, to the exclusion of his other gifts…and ours as well! No more presents were opened until the last word was read. Now, that’s a great book!” ~ Mary Wiltse

Idyllic Perú

Synopsis:

The author’s bucket list included a visit to Machu Picchu, so a plan was made to visit Perú with some special plans that included Machu Picchu. My trip to Perú created a bit of a quandary since some of my experiences were as amazing as the complications experienced by the imaginary characters in my adventure novels. They were not as deadly but often as exciting! The quandary was whether I should follow my established routine of creating an adventure novel based on sites I had visited or simply tell the real story in a memoir. I finally decided to combine the concepts by writing an ‘Adventure Memoir’ about the things that really happened.

“I absolutely loved Idyllic Perú! I’m an avid traveler and this author has the amazing ability of painting vivid pictures, sights and sounds through words. I felt like I was experiencing Peru through his eyes! Such wonderful stories and situations. I honestly could not put this book down!” Linda Sears

“C. Edwin Fender has a unique way of bringing images to life with remarkable detail and engaging wit. My husband went to Peru and loved it there. He has wanted me to go back with him sometime, and after reading this book, I honestly feel that I have been there. When we do go, I know the experience will be greatly enhanced by all that I have learned about Idyllic Perú! Thank you. Can’t wait for the next adventure.” ~ Loretta Gunner

Edified

Synopsis:

With the age of 70 in his rearview mirror and ten near-death experiences to anchor his lifetime, the author realized that memories fade so it was time to take a journey into his recollections to chronicle the more noteworthy happenings. Highpoints include: visiting all 50 US states, serving with the American Red Cross for 18 months in the Vietnam War, and traveling to more than 20 foreign countries. Ed expects to enjoy more adventures but is happy to have been able to record the first half of his life in “Edified”.

“Ed, I just finished reading a delightful book written by a person you are well acquainted with – yourself! I found the book to be both entertaining and EDIFYING. I appreciated the recounting of your trip to Iran. I have had some thoughts of going on a similar trip, but alas, it hasn’t happened yet.” ~ Rich Branchik

“This children’s storybook is about Plex, a real bunny rabbit who was very friendly but also very independent. He loved to play with children but was also bold enough to scare away big, bad dogs!”
